After its timely workshop on globalisation, the Young Liberals and Democrats held its Annual General Meeting and elections in Kathmandu, Nepal on 08-November 2009. YLDA officers reported on YLDA’s programs over the past year and also accepted Mr. Christopher Tsoi of Hong Kong as an individual member.
 
YLDA’s executive committee for 2010 was also elected. Mr. Jan-Argy Tolentino and Mr. Chee Wey Hng will continue their duties as President and Secretary General, respectively. The three Executive Members are Mr. Prakash Pyakurel of Youth Initiative Nepal, Mr. Stefanus Dolfi Polii of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle and Mr. Harshana Rajakaruna of Liberal Youth Guilds Sri Lanka.
 
The new leadership have began planning for YLDA’s 2010 programs and  have affirmed their commitment to help forward liberalism and democracy together with the Asian youth.
